Apple Inc. is set to produce all four iPhone 17 models destined for the U.S. market in India, marking the first time the tech giant will manufacture its latest lineup in the South Asian country. The move, reported by Bloomberg, signals Apple's accelerated shift away from Chinese production amid geopolitical tensions and tariff pressures.

Five Indian factories will handle the expanded production, including two recently opened facilities. The India pivot comes as Apple shares face headwinds, down nearly 8% year-to-date amid AI development concerns and Trump-era tariff impacts. Consumer electronics imports to the U.S. remain exempt from current levies, providing temporary relief for the tech behemoth.
